In 2006 we launched the KFS Scholarship Program. Sponsors assume responsibility for a child’s schooling costs and so help to reduce financial burden on families. We are working to get as many sponsors as we can but priority is given to children from larger families whose parents have to support 3 or more school age children at once.

The Sponsorship Program also goes a long way to help stabilize KFS revenue by reducing reliance on erratic and insufficient payment of parental contributions. The school is better able  to pay salaries in time thus keeping morale high and improving efficiency.

Sponsors and Friends have assisted KFS to:

• Put up school buildings
• Provide books and stationery
• Purchase a vehicle
• Install electricity infrastructure
• Buy a water pump
• Provide voluntary in-service training
• Contribute voluntary teaching services
• Run children’s workshops

The Kemet Foundation School is a non-profit making organisation that is funded by sponsorships, parental contributions and charitable donations. We remain dependent on the goodwill and generosity of individuals and organisations to support our development.
