Motto: Our Children Our Future

The school serves families from low income farming communities. For the parents KFS is a valuable resource. It offers their children a good standard of basic education in a locality where provision is insufficient. The school motto reflects community sentiment about the school. Families recognise education as the key to progress and development. In a deprived community KFS represents a positive step into the future.

Children are aged from 3 years up to 15 years old. Already the school is a multi-cultural one with a vibrant mix of religions and African ethnicities represented among the pupil and teacher population. The teaching and auxiliary staff are mainly local people who are farmers as well. Most are parents or grandparents with their own children enrolled at KFS.

Every year the school grows and gets better. We are making great strides forward in performance and results. The Kemet Foundation School was founded in 1996. There are about 250 KFS children in all.
